Legal Question in Criminal Law in Texas
Can I press charges?
I go to McKInney North High school. I have had problems with another student named Elexis Armstrong and come to find out, she is my next door neighbor. A friend of mine came to me and told me she over herd Elexis talking to someone in the bathrooms about her planning on doing something to my car. As soon as i herd this i went straight to the principle and told him about it ahead of time. I asked him if there was anything i could do to prevent it or proove that it was her if it was to happen. He said, if it happens then we will press charges. I then asked, but i will have no way to proove it to the police that it was Elexis, so how will i press charges? Today i went out to my car to go to work and notices my car covered with a dozen broken eggs and bar-b-que sause, eating my paint away. I called to police and filed a report. My question is, ''Can i press charges on her still?''

Re: Can I press charges?
You can call the police but you have a circumstantial case with no eye witness and its not likely they will make an arrest.
But you never know unless you try.
Also tell them that you told the principle days before the accident occurred.
