Legal Question in Criminal Law in Texas
Why did they press murder charges on casey anthoney? There isnt any direct evidence that she had anything too doo with it. Its all speculative at best towards her

Because there is probable cause to believe that she committed the offense and because there was a death. It is up to a jury to make a decision, based on all evidence offered including cross-examination, whether or not the evidence is sufficient to sustain a conviction. This is what a jury trial is all about.
