Legal Question in Criminal Law in Texas

probable cause examining trial letter to grand jury

why dont attornies send a letter to grand jury to show defendents side rather than they only recieving exculpatory {bad} evidence from prosecutor? then ask for an examining trial? especially in ''so many'' questionable police traffic stops? seems this avenue is ignored almost completely when no bill, reduced bond, states evidence discovered or dismissal are all possible..?
