probation

my husband and i are moving to my home town with our children i have a job and we are looking to buy a home. his P.O said my husband could not move untill they were ready to do the paperwork if they even decided to do it. me and the kids are going to be in a nother county and my husband need to be with us so he can finish college. what can we do?

Your husband's probation officer is correct. Being on probation means a loss of some control over his life. The court has the power to require that he remain in the county. Generally, counties are willing to offer courtesy supervision, but are not obligated to do so. He needs to ask nicely, and provide a complete and detailed statement as to the benefits of the move, not only to himself but to society. If all fails, your lawyer can request a hearing.
