Legal Question in Criminal Law in Texas
Does a probation officer have the right to search the person, belongings, home and/or interrogate family members of the probationer in Texas?

If the home is the one in which the probationer lives, then the probation officer may search it. If there are specific rooms LOCKED OFF that the probationer does not have access to, then the officer cannot search those rooms. (If the probationer has access to rooms, they can be searched.) The officer can ask questions of anyone; no one has to talk to the officer besides the probationer.
