Legal Question in Criminal Law in Texas
on probation, positive ua
i am a single mother on probation for lortab abuse and adiction from 2002. Failed a ua, the only this year. The seond in the last 3 years. This was a failed ua on Methamphetamine. I have not done any methamphetamine. I have only taken advil, psudophederine, and mini thins. I told this all to my po and he said it had to be methamphetamine since it was positive. I dont know what to do or think as I have not done this. Please help, cant have this destroy my life and the life of my babies.

If you were my client, and you were adamant about not violating conditions, then I would have you go to the doctor, with a referral to a reputable medical lab, and have them perform another ua. I would have them do a long term drug analysis to demonstrate that you have been clean. It is very possible that the po will file a revocation, and you need to be prepared. TCL
