do you violate probation if you are arrested in another state or held for questioning?

You probably violated probation by leaving Louisiana unless you had your probation officer's permission. Mere arrest should not result in a violation of probation.

If you are on probation out of Texas and you are arrested for a new offense that is considered a violation of your probation.

In Texas your probation can be violated even if you are not convicted of the offense you were arrested for.
