Legal Question in Criminal Law in Texas

Probation Violation

My husband tried to pass a forged check to Johnny Corrinos restaurant on the curb to go service well the restaurant remebered him from a proevious time before and called the police. Well, I drove him up to the restaurant to pick up the order and although they charged him with forgery I am concerned that my probation will be violated due to this offense. I have been on probation for the past year and I will be complete with probation this may I have paid every thing and completed my community serivce in 7 months earlier than I need to, and I am on probation for a failure to ID. So my question is --is can my probation be violated due to him and this incident, they also took me in for questioning that night and I answered all the questions they asked me regarding him but I amjust worried that since I infact drove him up there my probation will be violated.PLease help.

Re: Probation Violation

Hello there Alesha,

In order for your to violate your probation you would have to either have a technical violation or a new offense.

An example of a technical violation would be not completing your community service or violating another one of your probation conditions.

A new offense is as it sounds being charged with a new criminal act.

If you have not been charged with a new criminal act your probation is not in harms way of being violated.
