Legal Question in Criminal Law in Texas

Proper course of action?

I know someone that got arrested for trespassing. HOWEVER, she was going to collect child support, was told to come over and get it, and had text messages proving she was told to come over. Her ex's new woman, basically attacked her, scratching and hitting her. An officer was called and happened to be a relative of the new woman. They arrested the person I know without even acknowledging the texts or anything because they said she trespasses or something like that. She has to appear in court, but has the texts proving she was given permission. What else is needed, and if possible, what kind of action can be taken against the officer for such a terrible lapse in judgement on their part for just arresting and not actually finding out what happened?

Re: Proper course of action?

She needs be represented by an attorney in the same community. She might have a cause of action against the complainant. Despite her texts, she she should not try to attempt to represent herself.
