In regards to prosecution wanting me as a witness...If I was court ordered by a judge (which was prosecutions way of renewing subpoena since I was in town) what do I do about travel each time to Texas as far as being a witness for prosecution. I currently live in Alabama and have for 2 years. Did I mess up by letting them put me before a judge?

You should call the prosecutor to discuss this. Generally out of state and out of county witnesses are entitled to compensation for their expenses - but they do not get this compensation until after the end of the case when they submit their proof. Talk to the prosecutor about ensuring that your expenses will be paid.
