Legal Question in Criminal Law in Texas
Pushed a child
I am an adult male, age 38. Three boys (ages 12 - 14) were vandalizing our car with foam. I saw them and I ran after them and grabbed two of them by the shirt. I told them I would threaten to call the police if they didn't stop vandalizing the neighborhood. This is not the first incident of vandalism. Since I grabbed the boy's shirt, can I be sued? I did not punch or injure them.

Re: Pushed a child
Anyone can be sued. Can it hold it up in court? Depends upon how much truth is told on the witness stand, and who is believed. The title to your question refers to pushing a child, the body of the question states you only grabbed a shirt. There could be a difference in an assault. Next time, identify them and call the police.
