Legal Question in Criminal Law in Texas
questionable death
My 19 year old was found hanging in a chain of a swing set in a public park. No investigation. No answers from local police.
Cause of death: Red-purple parenchyma with pulmonary edema, which is caused by many factors , including chest trauma, overlay death.
Dallas Medical Examiner says he considered the death undetermined until the field investigator talked to the detective. Ruled a suicide, but he says no evidence of strangulation.
Chief of Police will not talk. Four officers were asked to resign inexplicably.
What recourse do I have?
Is it criminal law or civil law? I have no definitive answers as to why I know that the police had a hand in his death, I just know. An officer was the last person to see him alive in the park @ 1AM.
The chief ''suggested'' that I relocate.
All officers said they did not recognize him, yet ran a wants/warrants check only 8 minutes of arriving without identification. All officers knew my son on sight, on a first name basis, they had arrested him, and even harrassed him. Curfew in park: 10PM
