Legal Question in Criminal Law in Texas

I received deferred adjudication for a misdemeanor marijuana possession in Texas. My only offense ever. I am 48. I have completed my education in medical billing and coding and am now certified. When applying at hospitals and they do a background, are they seeing this. How bad does it look and is it worth the money to spend for expunging my record? Will they see that as well and become suspicious? Thank you ever so much. I couldn't sleep last night thinking about this.

Kudos, Kyle

Yes they can see it. You cannot expunge it. I would highly recommend looking into filing a petition for non-disclosure which would seal your record from most private entities.

I agree. However, keep in mind that even if the petition for non-disclosure is granted, a few entities can obtain the information, including hospitals.
