Legal Question in Criminal Law in Texas
Recently we have been looking for an apartment in East Texas. We were turned down for my husband having an unlawful carrying of a weapon on his record which is a misdemeanor from 4 years ago. It was adjuvicated. I know that they have their own rights to have whatever policies they want. However with this being an unviolent crime, how is this possible? My other concern is since it wasn't defferred can we still petition a motion of non disclosure due to us not being able to find a home? If so how can I do this without a lawyer. I am at my witts end, I have no other resources at my finger tips.

Since you say it was adjudicated, then it became a conviction. A conviction cannot be expunged or subject of an order of non-disclosure.
