Legal Question in Criminal Law in Texas
I recently got deferred disposition for a class c misdemeanor. If I wanted, could I just pay the fine instead of serving it out?

You would have to get the judgment modified. Otherwise if your probation was revoked you would have to pay a fine plus a deferral fee plus the fine for the new offense.
