Legal Question in Criminal Law in Texas
I recently paid a lawyer $400 to represent me in a misdeamenor criminal case. He has not done any type of work, and I did not sign a contract. Am I entitled to receive my deposit back?

How do you know that he has not done any work? Has he appeared in court? Read the file? Talked with the prosecutor? Have you spoken with him about getting your money back or the basis of your dissatisfaction?
