Legal Question in Criminal Law in Texas
I recently was shopping at a retail sporting goods store. I was shopping for a swimsuit and after trying on a few I found one that I liked. I also found some shorts that I liked. I purchased both items and before I left the store the manager informed me that I could not leave the store because an associate had seen me steal a swimsuit and that it was in my purse. The swimsuit that I was accused of stealing was the one that I had just purchased. I was humiliated, embarrassed and insulted in front of the other store customers. I've been told that I have a civil case. Is that true and if so, is it worth pursuing? Thanks.
