Legal Question in Criminal Law in Texas

Help!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have recived a letter in the mail from DA's office that says that I have to pay 4904.40 in May the 16th or they will file felony charges on me this happened in2004-2005 I had got welfare for my son and I didnt have the money to take him to the dr, much less buy food for him and now they say I own this money back to them I do not understand why I have to pay this back when I was in need of the help. Please help me

Suggest you talk to a criminal defense attorney. Depending on the county, you may be able to work out a payment plan with the DA's office.

The important thing is that you show that you are not ignoring the problem.

If you ignore them, they will file charges.
