Legal Question in Criminal Law in Texas
own recognizance
My ex boyfriend was arrested on assault charges several months ago for assaulting me and never returned some of my things. I emailed him regarding this, but never got a response. I finally called his work and am being charged with harrassment. I have a warrant out, but would like to have bond forfeited on own recognizance. How do I do this? I have no previous record, but am on unemployment, but starting work in a few days. Should I mention this or financial hardship?

Re: own recognizance
It sound's like you want a PR bond. There is a good chance you can get one.
It is unlikely that you want a bond forfeited.
Obtain a lawyer to arrange this for you as well as your surrender so you can minimize processing.
