Legal Question in Criminal Law in Texas

Please reply without broadcasting it over the world! I'm a father of two children that I support the best I can't provided my background. In 2003 I was placed on probation for having sex with a underage girl. I was given 5 years of probation which I completed but during that process I was given 3 polygraph test to determine if I had forced her, or even known of her age. All of which I didn't do or even know. I had passed all test given to me. My probation officer told me I would have to sign up for life as a sex offender since he said i was lying about me not forcing her or knowing her. Since I had no lawyer after the case was completed since he was arrested. I was wondering and prayer if there is anything I can do to remove my name from the sex offenders list. I mean really I made a honest mistake and didn't know the girl at all. I never forced her nor seen a picture of the girl they where talking about in court let alone my lawyer didn't really care to help since he was arrested years later. So all in all my question:

Is there anything I can do to remove my name from the list of sex offenders.

It hurts because I can't live with my family because of their location and for the last 7 years of my life I have had to live in a hotel. Which I have to be thankful because im not on the streets but seriously I'm not a bad guy just a honest mistake which all my test would prove that.

If you are on probation for this offense, you were either convicted at trial, plead guilty.or no contest.

I think it is the conviction that places you on the sex offender registry, not your probation officer.

If your attorney was arrested, you may be able to ask for an appeal or a new trial.

You need to visit with an attorney that specializes in this area.of the law. As you have seen the consequences of this offense are dire.
