Legal Question in Criminal Law in Texas

I was a resident at the Salvation Army. I was discharged when I came back my things they were gone. The Salvation Army shelter assumes no responsibility for my belongings.

My guess is that when you moved in, you signed something absolving them from all responsibility if you lost property or if it was stolen.

If you didn't sign such a document, you can sue them under a theory of bailment. I'd think long and hard about doing this, though.
