Legal Question in Criminal Law in Texas

Need help resolving out of state probation violation

How can we get a felony warrant bond reduced? 2 days ago we learned there's a felony warrant for probation violation for a charge of interferring with child custody (his son) in July 04 (thru Tx court) and we're told his bond is $100,000 because he is a flight risk because he lives in Okla. He initially went to 8 PO visits and tried to get them to transfer him to Okla, but they wouldn't. It is an 8 to 9 hour drive round trip to see the probation officer. How can we get this resolved and probation moved to Oklahoma? Travel to Texas monthly cannot be afforded. Also, how can the probation violation be taken care of so his employment will not be lost? Any information would be appreciated immediately.

I think his situation might be far more serious than you realize. Until he surrenders, it is not likely that a judge will reduce his bond, and probably not until he sits in jail for awhile. The APO does not have to approve the transfer, and without more information, it is impossible to speculate as to why the APO refused.

The longer he avoids this, the larger his problem becomes. He should have an attorney before arranging surrender.
