Legal Question in Criminal Law in Texas
no response court appointed attorney
I am on a PR bond and have court scheduled next week.My court appoint has not returned a call or even notified me of my court date.My ankle moniter bond officer advised I write the judge and request a new atty, but to use proper court language.How do I word my request?

I would recommend that you see if your attorney shows up at your court hearing. If they fail to show up or if they show up and you are still unsatisfied, then ask to approach the judge. Tell the judge you want a new attorney appointed and why. There is no need for a written request to the judge.
