Restraining order
How do I file a restraining order against my ex wife? Do I need a lawyer or may I do it through the courts? thank you.

That's why you need a lawyer, because you don't know how to do it. If you proof of actual violence, you could contact the District Attorney, to see if they will file for a protective order.
