retail issue
can a company fire someone for suspecting internal theft ( no actual photo proof ) and then attempt to go after them via da? what action can be taken?

Yes they can fire an employee for theft. There are methods for establishing proof without a photograph. If they choose to press criminal charges, then the actual charge would depend upon the value of the item(s) taken. The investigator will review the file, and determine if there is sufficient proof to take the case. If so, then it proceeds through court system. If you believe this is going to happen, you might want to hire a criminal defense lawyer now, to see if it is possible to settle the matter before it gets to that point.
