Legal Question in Criminal Law in Texas
Retry A Case
If a court appointed attorney tells you to plea guilty for a crime you know you did not commit and you do as he requested bases on him telling you that you would be out in 4 months when he files for an appeal. Can that case be retried? Was sentenced to 18 years for agreeing with my Court appointed lawyer. Ive served 8 years to date.

Re: Retry A Case
The only way the case can be reopened is if there is some actual innocence that can be shown to the court.
The case that allows this was called ex parte turley and it came out about 2 years ago.
Hope this can be of some assistance.
If you need any further information feel free to contact my office.
