Legal Question in Criminal Law in Texas
Revoking Probation
My boyfriend is currently incarcerated for revoking his probation. The original charge is a felony of evading arrest. Is it too late for a lawyer to reduce the charge from a felony to a misdemeanor or is his sentence set in stone?

Re: Revoking Probation
Generally, the charge is related to the actual offense committed. Although, depending on the charge and circumstance it may be possible to plea bargain for a lesser included offense, once a conviction is handed down it is waaaaay to late.
