Legal Question in Criminal Law in Texas

Trying to get rid of a Police Record

I was put on deferred adjudication and I completed the program. It still shows that I have a police record. This incident happened 4 years ago. I was wondering if it will be removed in 5 years? Or is there a way that I could get it removed? I tried to get it sealed, but it isn't possible. Your assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Expunction of criminal arrest record

There is a specific procedure for doing this set forth in TX Code of Criminal Procedure, Section 55.01. 55.02 sets out the exact procedure, wich is long and complicated (lawyerese for expensive). See a criiminal defense lawyer in your town, he'll be able to advise you in more detail.
