Rights of the accused
Can a person who has been charged, but not convicted, of possesion of controlled substance be put on probation and be required to take a UA every week? Keep in mind a conviction has not been made.

Deferred Adjudication is a kind of probation where the judge defers a finding of guilt, and imposes probation. If the defendant successfuly completes the probation there is no finding of guilt on his record.
A judge can impose regular UAs as a condtion of bond, but that would not be probation.
