Legal Question in Criminal Law in Texas
Rights
Are you notified about charges filed against you? A detective said he was investigating the a report filed and that he would be back in touch with us. however we never heard from him again and next thing was the child was arrested on a warrant for criminal mischief. He was not read his rights at no time during the arrest. He was just given a lot bad mouthing from the officer.

Typically after arrest a suspect is taken before a judge who informs the suspect of the charges against him and informs him of his constitutional rights. Was your son informed of the charges against him at any point???
