Legal Question in Criminal Law in Texas
how to seal court files
My son is 18 and early last year just a couple of days after his birthday he got caught with a small amout of marj. in his car along with all the other people in the car. He was the only one charged for anything. He has already served and paid all the fines and stuff for this. The question is how to get it seal so when he goes for job interviews and they do a background check on him that this does not effect his chances in the future? How do we seal this case?

Re: how to seal court files
You might have jumped the gun on this. Did he have a lawyer? Did he plead guilty and pay fines, or did he take deferred adjudication?
