Legal Question in Criminal Law in Texas
Search of personal possession in home
I am a convicted felon who is not on parole or probation. A local officer came to my home and asked to come in. He then proceed to ask me questions and look through my personal belongins... ie computer and cell ph. Can he do this?

he can if you let him. With consent, cops can enter anywhere and search anything.
Without consent, cops need a warrant to enter a home and search.
