Searching for a child that does not live at home
Last week we had a visit at home by Houston Police. They had an arrest warrant for my daughter who has not lived with us for more than a year and we don't know where she lives. They asked to search the house and we consented. Later in the week Sheriffs from Narcotics Division came by and this time they did not ask permission, they just entered the house, asked who was at home and told me I would be arrested if they found my daughter in the house. I asked if I would keep on getting my house searched and they said yes, until my daughter was arrested.
Can they search my house without a search warrant? Where is the official residence record- Driver's License, Post Office? How can I make it official that that is not my child's residence so they do not keep on bothering me.

Not without a warrant. It would be worth your while to retain an attorney, to notify the PD in writing that any consent to search has been revoked, and future searches will require a warrant.
