Legal Question in Criminal Law in Texas

Self-defensive murder

The question I am needing to ask is as follows. Is a man guilty of murder if he commited the crime to save the lives of others? I would say it was self-defense but the attackers where not trying to harm him. He put himself into the fight to defend the people being attacked, unfortunately killing two of the attackers. I would say it was either justifiable homicide, self-defense, or at the very worst a lesser charge than first degree murder. But I can't find anything to back this up.

Re: Self-defensive murder

This situation is called defense of others.

If the person being attacked could have used the same amount of force that you used to defend themselves then you would be justified in useing that amount of force to defend someone else.

Sounds like your in a lot of trouble and you need a good attorney to help you.

If you have any questions feel free to contact me.
