Legal Question in Criminal Law in Texas
I want to know about a sentence with life given to a friend is he able to get out before 30 years in prison.

Depends on whether the case is a 3g (aggravated) case. Aggravated cases are not eligible for parole consideration on the sentence until 1/2 of the sentence, or 30 years for any sentence of 60 years or more, has been assessed.
