sex offender laws involving registration
If a person is placed on deferred adjudication probation and successfully complete the terms and conditions of this probation (which now means no conviction, correct?) are they still required to register as a sex offender?

Maybe. That determination was made at the time of the entry of the judgment. Read the order.
