Legal Question in Criminal Law in Texas

sex offender question

I have unknowingly moved in with a 64 yr old male who had been convicted of aggravated sexual assault of a 11 yr old child. I have no childern myself, but I would like to find out the circumstances in his case, and also to find out any stipulations he has to abide to. He is not on parole, apparently he served 10 years, and he has to report annually. Is there a way I can look up the case specifics? The specific charge is TEXAS PENAL CODE 22.021(A)(2)(B). I am not at all comfortable living in the same house as this guy, and I may want to let the landlord know, can I do that? Thanks

Re: sex offender question

If he was required to register, then the state and each jurisdiction maintains a list of registered offenders on their website. If not, then the county of conviction will have the case details, if they maintain an online presence (most do).

As to notifying the landlord, if the information is public, then it is public. On the other hand, if he was there first, what right do you have to complain?
