sex offender violation probation

My boyfriend is a registered sex offender. he has done all but 2 mnths of his probation. he went to a store with a friend and unwrapped some dvds for his friend to steal. they have revoked his probation and he's been sitting in jail for months. the da whos prosecuting is offering 12 yrs. he wont sign now is going to face the judge. is there a chance the judge will give less than that, or nothing at all..does it only depend on the judge..does the judge take into account what the da is trying to give him?

What the DA is attempting to give your boyfriend normally is not even brought before the judge. The DA's offer is considered a plea negoitation. Your boyfriend needs to hire a local criminal defense attorney to assist in his theft case and the revocation of probation.
