Criminal that was charged with indecency to a minor in Texas in 1987. He doesn't want to have to report as a sex offender any more and I need to know what to do in Texas to get him out of that obligation.

Read Chapter 62 of the Texas Code of Criminal Procedure, to determine if his conviction falls under Penal Code 21.11. Further there are additional requirements to satisfy regarding the petition to the court. If you believe that he might qualify for such a petition, then hire a lawyer for him. It is not about finding and filling out forms. He will need a criminal defense lawyer. Good luck.
