Legal Question in Criminal Law in Texas
sexual abuse
My 15 year old daughter recently told me that my husband touched her inappropriately about 3-4 years ago. My husband says he has never touched her. I have contacted CPS and the houston police department. However, I really want to get the truth. CPS doesn't seem to care if there are any inconsistencies in the story(because their job is to protect my daughter) and my husband's attorney only wants info to protect my husband. What can i do or where can i start to find out the truth. CPS has recommended (dance) therapy for my daughter and i have no clue what that is either. Can someone help??

Re: sexual abuse
I certainly sympathize with your situation, however, don't know that there is resolution to your situation through this board. Apparently you have difficulty believing your daughter or your husband. If you go through divorce proceedings, there are certain discovery tools available to your lawyer, however, am not sure that that will even resolve your doubts.
