Legal Question in Criminal Law in Texas
Sexual assault
I am from the state of texas and i have a question regarding a sexual assault charge. What are the penalties for a sexual assault charge of an adult if you have a clean record besides a DWI? Is there a chance that a person can get parole and without having to register as a sex offender? This charge is actually placed on my husband by me but I now want to drop those charges because I feel the investigation was somewhat misled out of anger. Please any information and advise would be helpful because I am trying to get my husband out of this situation that we got ourselves into. We will also be starting marriage counseling today to see if we can get some help on how to work out our personal problems would this also help if this case goes to court?

Re: Sexual assault
Get a lawyer for yourself, and one for your husband. "misled out of anger" sounds like a euphemism for 'lied'. You both need a lawyer.
