Legal Question in Criminal Law in Texas
my little sister was arrested for theft of up to 4000 dollars.this counts as a felony. she is just seventeen and this is her first time .do u think they would lessen her charge?

Maybe. It really depends on the facts of the case. If the prosecutor handling the case is feeling generous, they might consider reducing the theft to a misdemeanor in exchange for a guilty plea.
