Legal Question in Criminal Law in Texas
My situation is this, 17 years ago I gave up my son for adoption. We have recently been reunited. He is 20 years old now. We have built a very close relationship. We are so close that we want to get married. Is it illegal to get married under those circumstances? What state is it legal?

It is not legal in Texas you to marry your son. To get a marriage license, one of the questions that must be answered True/False in the application is:
"The other applicant is not related to me as:
(A) an ancestor or descendant, by blood or adoption;
The clerk cannot issue a marriage license if either party indicates that the statement is false.
From what you have stated, both of you would have to commit perjury to get married.
