Legal Question in Criminal Law in Texas

If I sold an item of my girlfriends while we were living together to pay some of our bills. Can she file theft on me and have me arrested. I replaced the item with an exact one within 24hrs. of her reporting it missing, the only difference is the serial numbers do not match her box for the old item and the new one. So she believes she can still have me arrested. Can she even though I replaced the item (which is less than a $200 item)

Please someone respond asap. I'm exteremly stress over this. I've never been any any trouble before and I'm very scared!!!

It is very unlikely that the police would accept charges on this situation because the woman's enjoyment was not substantially inteferred with.

The statute: 2) "Deprive" means: (A) to withhold property from the owner permanently or for so extended a period of time that a major portion of the value or enjoyment of the property is lost to the owner; (B) to restore property only upon payment of reward or other compensation; or (C) to dispose of property in a manner that makes recovery of the property by the owner unlikely.

If the police wish to question you - which I really doubt - you should talk to a lawyer because I do not think if she relates the facts that you have related that you will be charged. If I were you, I would be done with this witch. She is no friend.
