Legal Question in Criminal Law in Texas
My son was arrested on July 23,2009 for a probation violation. He was sent to a county jail which is not the original county of his crime. His 5 year probation is supposed to end on August 9th. There is a motion to revoke filed in his original county. He has not been transferred to the proper county as of today. If he is not transferred before the end of his probation can he still be held. The violation was pictures sent anonymously to his PO showing him holding a beer bottle. So far there is just an allegation.

Yes, he can be held. Since the alleged violation happen before the probation expired, he can be held. More liekly he will be transfer to the original county near his court date. That county probably has an agreement with the other county to house some of their inmates.
