Legal Question in Criminal Law in Texas
My son is in prison and I am his mother I have asked his attorney that took his case and asked for his files they said they can not send them to me can you tell me why

The files belong to the client, not the client's mother. If your son asks for the files, the lawyer is required to turn them over.
