my son is currently serving time in tx he will be released in a year however he has a case pending in florida, can he get credit for time served

You will need to ask this question under Florida because the question is about Florida lawy. At least in Texas, to get credit in such a situation, there must be a hold (detainer) lodged against him while he is in custody.
