Legal Question in Criminal Law in Texas
My son is 17 and had sex with a 13 yr old and she told him she was 16 and it was consensual. Her grandma is trying to press charges. She is telling her grandmother she lied about her age and she refuses to believe her. What should we do?

Having sexual relations with a child under the age of 14 is a very serious offense. Your son should consult with an attorney. If the cops start wanting to talk to him, he certainly should not say anything without consulting a lawyer.
