Legal Question in Criminal Law in Texas

Hi, i know this may sound silly but about 6 months back the police were called out for a dispute, i was involved, i asked the officer to go ahead and file a report just in case, and was given an incident number. No charges were filed, and no arrest were made. i was trying to find out if a police officer searched my name would this report show up and if so, how can i go about having it removed? (Sorry was unsure of what area of law to put)

Yes, if the police or any person in the public searched (by an open record request), your name would show up. The reports are listed by number, name(s) involved and address(es) - and many LEO' reports don't even have a number assigned.

I don't believe that you would qualify to expunge the report record, as this usually only applies to arrests, charges being filed and court cases. - We can always try it.
