Legal Question in Criminal Law in Texas

Stalking

A man was supeened to go to court (has not been arrested) and discuss the aligations made by his x-girlfriend that he is stalking/harrasing her. He had written some letters that could be viewed slighty threatening(they were not intended that way), also he has sent gifts, driven by her work/home. He means no harm. She encouraged some of this. Possably broken heart revenge on her part. He has a unrelated felony for drugs on his record (8+yrs ago) but cannot serve probation. What could happen in court? What is the punsishment for a Class B? What should he bring/do? What are the procedures in a instance like this? Statistics? Any info is appreciated. Thank You
